This is the coding course for the youngest and ideal choice to start the coding adventure, for both reading and not-reading children. The idea behind this huge project was to create the didactic tool, that on the one hand enables teachers to adjust the difficulty level to the child, allow practising many useful skills required on the next level of education, and on the other hand to provide entertainment in a form of a game with a hero. All adventures take place on a grid of three sizes, operated by light pens. The user toolbox is supplied with blocks of arrows (regular and loop), start and finish blocks, marking and collecting tools, and other useful functions to enhance the work on the grid. The teacher can choose from seven thematic sections covering: creating routes, recognizing sequences, graphical coding, word coding, coordinates, maths paths, and mazes. There are designed several scenarios for solving the boards: arranging the route based on the given pattern (word, sign sequence, graphic, math calculations), including some additional conditions on the route (collecting or omitting items and walls), finding the finish line of the given route written with arrows, sign sequence or a word, arranging items on the board based on the given coordinates, collecting specific items on the board, assigning coordinates, recognizing picture pattern. This is a powerful tool, consisting of 54 applications, 1633 ready-made interactive boards, arranged in a coding course with a methodical approach to the presented topics. Great involvement of teachers and the psychologist, UX and graphic designers resulted in the release of the first edition of Code with Ava in 2020.
